Reasons to consult

At Maison de Santé Espoirs I see the whole family: working adults, pregnant women, children, teenagers and retirees, with fees adapted to each. Here are the situations that most often bring people in — and if your case needs a doctor first, I will simply say so.

The back: low back pain and sciatica

Whether it is a lumbago that appeared while lifting, a lower back complaint that has dragged on for months, or pain radiating down the leg in a sciatica-like pattern, I look for restrictions in the mobility of the pelvis and spine and work on them manually, in coordination with your medical care where needed.

The neck: pain and headaches

A locked neck on waking, torticollis, tension-type headaches after long commutes or screen days: the session focuses on the mobility of the cervical spine and shoulders, with practical advice for your workstation and sleep.

Pregnancy and after the birth

During pregnancy, gentle techniques can bring comfort with pelvic and lower back pain; after the birth, a session helps take stock of remaining tension. Always alongside the care of your midwife or obstetrician.

Babies, children and teenagers

I see babies — colic, plagiocephaly, newborn torticollis — with the paediatrician's opinion first, using very gentle techniques and with parents present. Children and teenagers benefit from a reduced €45 fee, and growth- and posture-related complaints are common at these ages.

Digestive and ENT complaints

Bloating, irregular transit, a blocked-ear sensation or recurring sinusitis: these functional complaints can be supported with osteopathy once a medical diagnosis has been made where symptoms persist.

Athletes

Running along the Seine, football, the gym: I see athletes to prepare for an event, recover after effort, or ease a complaint built up by a repetitive movement. The work targets mobility and the prevention of compensations.

Osteopathy replaces neither a diagnosis nor medical treatment. Fever, recent trauma, unusual or sudden pain: see a doctor first.

04 — FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How long does a session last?

A session usually lasts between 45 minutes and an hour, including time to talk and get settled — slightly longer for a first consultation.

Do I need to see a doctor before consulting?

No: osteopathy is direct-access, with no prescription needed. If your situation calls for medical advice first, however, I will redirect you without delay.

Will my health insurer reimburse the session?

The French state health service does not cover osteopathy, but most private insurers reimburse several sessions a year. You leave with an invoice to send to your insurer — amounts are detailed on the fees and reimbursement page.

How many sessions should I expect?

It depends on the complaint: a recent issue often evolves favourably within one or two sessions, while an older one may justify a few appointments spread over time. No package or programme is ever imposed.

What happens at the first consultation?

A conversation about your complaint and history, a mobility assessment, then manual techniques adapted to your situation. Bring any imaging results you have and wear comfortable clothing.

Can I come with a baby or a child?

Yes. I see babies with the paediatrician's opinion first, as well as children and teenagers at a reduced fee. Parents stay in the room for the whole session.
